BomboBar is located in the heart of the West Loop.  It's a walk up window with a small patio connected to Bar Sienna - a large, rustic, two story restaurant.  If you were wondering where the name BomboBar came from, "bomboloni" is the Italian word for hole-less filled doughnut.  That makes sense since the creation of BomboBar was due to the popularity of doughnuts at their sister property, Sienna Tavern.

We've been waiting for the right opportunity to bring our puppy, Olive, along to our weekly coffee adventure.  We thought, "how hard could it be"?  We decided on BomboBar for a few reasons.  First, dogs are allowed on their patio.  Second, our dog trainer suggested it.  Third, It's small, so we figured it would be a short visit.  I have to say, bringing her along was not "a walk in the park".  Taking photos, drinking coffee, eating a doughnut all while trying to keep a 5.5 month old puppy from pulling, barking and eating everything on the ground was a challenge.  We got through it though, with the help of our delicious iced cold lattes and an even more delicious mixed berry filled doughnut.  An added bonus was the free dog biscuit they gave to Olive.  It was a replica of a frosting and sprinkle coated doughnut. Not sure how we would have survived our visit without it!
